    Description

Madame Alexander Nina Ballerina from the early 50's.  14" tall with an ivory satin and tulle tutu with floral accents.  Pink ballet slippers with pink satin ties,  a pink hair ribbon,  stockings, and she has her necklace also.  Her hair is flame red with clusters of curls at her crown and nape, and her eyes are pale blue with hair lashes. Lovely blush to her cheeks.
She has her original clothing tag on back of tutu.  I believe everything is original except for her panties which look too new and are pink satin.
Condition:  Overall, good condition. No unpleasant odors, no cracks or chips.  This is the minor things that I noticed: Her stringing may be a bit loose.  Her arms hold pose no problem, but her head seems a bit wobbly.  Her eyes open and close but her right seems a bit sticky sometimes, doesn't open fully each time, but almost fully open even when it sticks, just a tiny bit too much eyelid shows.  Could be from lying on back for awhile.  Her hair is a bit flat in back but not overly fuzzy. Her tutu is missing one floral accent on front right and there is one line like rust colored stain to front of tutu top  above the waistline (pictured). Her skin is lovely, no stains or dirt marks.  There is one tiny blemish to her forehead above her left eye, possibly a manufacturing defect.   Matches exactly but a tiny bit more raised.  See all pictures and use enlarging feature for best idea of condition.  Despite all the above,  she shows very well!
Please NOTE:  This lovely doll is part of a collection from an elderly woman who passed.  I know a little about dolls, but no where near what an avid collector would know.  I will try to point out what things I see that may be important to you. If you have any questions, just ask me.
