Description
1950's 7.5” Madame Alexander-Kins Bent Knee Walker Doll. Marked ALEX on back of neck.Lovely face with working sleep eyes, blue-gray (I think).
Comes in a floor-length light pink dress which I believe is either organza or organdy.
It is made of a "see-through" floral material with a crisp finish, and has a pink ribbon sash.
Tagged at the back neckline. See photo.
Her hat is a thick band with flowers on top. A gold strap goes around the back of her head to hold the hat on.
She also wears a full length slip and panties, and a lone sock.
No shoes. (Apparently that was some birthday party....)
Sleeves, collar, and shoulders of dress have lace trim, as do the hem of the slip and the panties.
Condition:
Face beautiful. Eyelashes complete, as are the eyebrows and deep pink lips.
Sleep eyes and walker mechanism work fine. Hair appears original and complete.
Fingers all present, no chews. The arms can be posed if you operate them at the same time.
She was able to stand, but it took a little doing. Of course the sock was still on....shoes would have helped.
Right thigh has a small dark mark. See photos.
Dress is faded. All lace present. Could use a wash, but I am not a doll person and am reluctant to remove or mess with the clothing.
Panties have a rip. Elastic stiff. Slip elastic has only some of its oomph left. The sock is lonely, but in good condition.
All in all, she's pretty good looking for being a senior citizen...almost as old as I am.
She will be carefully packaged and boxed for shipping.
