1950s Vintage 18" Madame Alexander Maggie

The doll's taffeta dress is tagged "
Alice in Wonderland, Madame Alexander
."  She stands 18 inches tall.  She comes with her Fashion Academy Award wrist tag.
The doll is made of hard plastic and is a strung doll with tight joints allowing her to pose very well.  She is an earlier hard plastic doll seen in her darker "tan" skin tone with lighter colored eyelids.
She has beautiful original facial coloring with full upper lashes.
She wears a tagged lavender taffeta dress with white organdy pinafore.  Her cotton petticoat is a combination panty that snaps.  She has garter back seam hose/tights and black side snap shoes with heels.
The dress is originally lavender that had faded and has had some rit dye restoration to bring back some of the original color. Color is not perfect but the areas that are not uniform are mainly in the front covered by the white pinafore. Proper tag color seems to be mostly retained.  I found about 3 pinhole size holes in the left side of the skirt.
The lovely white organdy pinafore has large shoulder ruffles in classic ALICE style with a sash that ties in the back.  It has rickrack in the neckline and lace trim at the hem.  There is small cut in the lace on Alice's left side.
One garter hose has a tear just below the seam near the top front.
She has the classic Alice wig with sides pulled up and back.  She needs someone to reset her curls.
The history of any repair or past environments is unknown.
I haven't noticed any offensive odors.
My home is smoke free and she has been in my home for a brief stay only.
** Item is NOT mint but shows evidence of being loved. I have tried to photograph her from all sides with her wardrobe and without.  I'm only allowed 12 photos on Ebay.

I have mentioned flaws that I have noticed but I'm not an expert so there may be others.  Ask questions about what's important to you that I did not show in photos or mention in the description.  I will answer if I can. I don't guarantee that I will know but I try.

SHIPPING
Doll is packaged very carefully.  She is wrapped gently in tissue paper first and then bubble wrap.  Bubble wrap will be lightly sealed with easy to remove scotch tape so that you do NOT have to use scissors to unwrap the doll. I then use packing peanuts around the doll to cushion her securely within the box.
The buyer's name MUST be the name on the shipping label.  -
(I do not do
"in care of" type of labels using
C/O or CO).  If a name appears on the address different than the name of the buyer, I may cancel the order.
