1955 MA CISSY Doll Navy Taffeta Dress w/ Net Sleeves & Cashmere Sweater
This lovely dress was made in 1955 & is navy with black gimp braid trim at the neck and waist. It has net sleeves & multiple snaps at the back. This dress has the attractive drop waist.
There are some small pinholes in dress & 1 a bit larger - that’s the picture I held up to the light but have trouble seeing when placed on light blue background. I believe the sweater is cashmere & fits Cissy well. As you can see in my pictures, there is a partial tag. The previous owner of many of my Cissy doll’s clothing, gently played with her dolls & clothes & those pesky labels marred the looks of those precious Alexander dresses. Even in the days of Minnie Pearl, you don’t go out in public with a large tag hanging from your neck. So to the lament of all collector’s, the tag has been trimmed prior to my ownership.
