Antique 1885 Hazel Atlas Nadinala Opal Glass Lidded Vanity Patch Box/Cream Box

Antique Hazel Atlas Nadinala vanity cream box.  Per the Hazel-Atlas reference guide - These boxes were among Hazel-Atlas' first products produced in 1885.  Hazel Atlas referred to these as patch boxes.  Supposedly contained a cream used by African Americans to lighten their skin. Measures 2" X 3-1/4" and stands 2" high. Has the HA mark underneath the lid along with 1526 1/2.  The bottom is embossed with: 'NADINOLA CREAM A COMPLEXION BEAUTIFIER NATIONAL TOILET CO PARIS TENN. U.S.A.'  Depression glass type but much earlier than depression.  There is a teenie tiny flake that I tried to show in the last picture.  Aside from a little bit of roughness (that can be seen in the pictures) along the sharp edges this is in wonderful crack & chip free condition.  An amazing little 136 year survivor!
