    Description

    Inspired by one of Madame Alexander's 1950's creations, a day dress with puffed sleeves and a thin velvet sash, I've copied the original style using a beautiful old cotton print, vintage midnight blue velvet ribbon--and a bodice which is more tightly fitted than the originals. There are the requisite details--- lined bodice, hand blind stitched two inch hem, and square snaps

    I photographed dress with a can can slip, but there is so much fabric here that the frock would show beautifully without one.
