    Description

This auction includes two Madame Alexander Wendy-kin dolls from the 1950s, sold without clothing. The redheaded doll has brown eyes. She is a bend-knee walker made from 1956-1965 that is marked with "ALEX" on her back. She is in need of restringing, as all of her arms and legs are loose and she is unable to hold positions. The blonde-haired doll has brown eyes. She is a straight-leg, non-walker from 1953-54 that is marked with "ALEX" on her back. Her arms are quite loose, but her legs seem more intact. She may need restringing also.
If you are a collector that has the book, The World of Alexander-kins by Patricia Smith, you can find these dolls on pages 10-11.
Both dolls have hair that is still neat and curly. Their eyes open and close easily when picked up and laid down. The redhead does have one small, light, stray mark on her right cheek and another on her bottom.
    Their original boxes are missing.
Overall, though, these are in beautiful condition for their age. I think someone out there could make them even more beautiful with a little love!
These are from a smoke-free, pet-free, and healthy home and have been stored over the years in a cool, dry environment.
I will ship these Wendy-kins within 1 business day via USPS Priority Mail. Due to high shipping costs, I do not ship to AK, HI, or any other U.S. Territories. I do combine shipping. Please message me for information about combined shipping costs. I do not ship internationally.
I am happy to answer any questions! Thank you so much for browsing!
