This is a great fireplace screen that was salvaged out of an original Spanish revival style home in historic Hancock Park. The pattern of the fireplace screen is that of the staircase railing and banisters and was custom-made to match the old original iron in the house. The fireplace screen was made at a later date and captures the style of the original old iron. The staircase railing and side rails were also salvaged and are available for purchase in a separate auction. This is a fixed fireplace screen that would go into the firebox opening. This could also be mounted onto the face of the fireplace to give the same effect. The screen is an overall good condition I did notice some slight damage to the bottom left corner where the inside of the screen has torn but could easily be repaired.
