GORGEOUS 20" ALL ORIGINAL 1955 MDME ALEXANDER CISSY DOLL IN NAVY BLUE TAFFETA!

We are pleased to offer for your buying consideration with NO RESERVE and a special "BUY IT NOW!" price a GORGEOUS 20" ALL ORIGINAL 1955 MADAME ALEXANDER CISSY DOLL IN NAVY BLUE TAFFETA OUTFIT!
This SOUGHT AFTER vintage original Cissy doll is a RARE FIND, as they are coveted by collectors who simply cannot have enough of this elegant FASHION DOLL!
Cissy is dressed in her FACTORY ORIGINAL two piece navy blue taffeta outfit with black scalloped trim from 1955, consisting of a day dress with capped sleeves and fitted bodice with a flared skirt, and matching bolero style jacket, all mid-century fashion statements!  The outfit is very crisp and appears never to have been laundered, but probably could use a good pressing.  The dress has its original white FABRIC TAG attached with blue lettering "CISSY", and underneath "Madame Alexander"; the tag is clean and crisp with just a little fraying at the bottom, and all of the original signature Alexander SQUARE SNAPS are still intact on the dress back.
Cissy has her original fancy heather blue FACTORY HAT trimmed in turquoise blue fabric and lace trim, with fruit and floral embellishments, and has its original gold elastic chin strap that is still relatively tight.  She wears her original SEAMED STOCKINGS that appear without any runs or holes, and there are ELASTIC GARTERS at the top of each leg which have pink floral medallion embellishments.  The elastic has loosened over time and the garters were more than likely originally made by Premier who supplied the Alexander Doll Factory with many of their vintage accessories for their fashion dolls such as Cissy and Elise.
Her factory original WHITE TAFFETA undergarments include a flounced HALF SLIP with netted ruffled hem that has its original white scalloped trim, and matching white TAFFETA PANTIES with lace trim.  She wears her original high heeled BLACK SANDALS with plastic soles and elastic straps that have loosened over time, so her previous owner has tied them in the back to keep them tight on her feet; please note the picture we have provided of the back of her legs which shows this.
Cissy herself is just lovely; clear turquoise BLUE EYES with what appears to be all of her upper ORIGINAL LASHES and painted lower lashes, lushly painted deep coral RED LIPS, very subtly BLUSHED CHEEKS, and there are no repaints that we detect.  Her beautiful BLONDE HAIR is in its original set, but it has relaxed over time with vintage hair pins as well as remnants of a vintage hair net helping to secure the hair in place that may or may not be original to her.
Madame Alexander broke the mold in so many ways when she made Cissy, but it is her FULLY ARTICULATED body that sets her apart from so many other fashion dolls of her era.   It is simply AMAZING; jointed at the neck and arms at the top of the torso, elbows and hand, and jointed legs at the hip and knees.
Her head, FEMALE SHAPED torso and legs are made of HARD PLASTIC; her arms and hands are of vinyl for easy posing, and her knees and back of her hands
still retain their ORIGINAL BLUSH!  Her body appears in EXCELLENT CONDITION, with no splits or cracks that we can detect, but please note her head is tightly strung and has the tendency to lean slightly forward, but will still hold a pose once you position her and will come DISPLAY READY for her next lucky owner!
