Description
Here's a cool Depression-era ashtray made by the Hazel-Atlas Glass Company. It has a pattern on the rim that some collectors refer to as 'Checkerboard'; it was produced in the 1930's, more or less. This piece is about 6" in diameter, and the rim is about 3/4" off the table. In the center it's got a couple of little tabs, pretty much used to hold a matchbook (or rest a burning cigarette on). It's in nice shape with no damage that I see. Cute little thing from bygone era, I've got way too much of this sort of thing (and am obsessively constantly buying more), so this needs a new home.
