Jeanette Glass Marigold Carnival Glass Iris & Herringbone Scalloped Platter,12” The serving plate is made of carnival glass of amber, pink, blue and purple colors that come from it. This was done in the 1930s at the Jeanette Glass Company, located in Jeanette PA. It measures 12" in diameter and scalloped edges, with embossed iris flowers and herringbone pattern. This plate is in good condition except for a few minor scratches. This dish has no chips, breaks, cracks.The company Jeanette Bottle Works was founded in Jeanette Pa in 1887, and in 1899 they joined the machine age and became the Jeanette Glass Company. They produced taste jars, car headlights and cans and expanded by 1904. They started adding household items, medical supplies, and newer equipment was added in the 1920s to produce tableware items called "depression Glass", which is very collectible today. The Jeanette Glass Company bought the McKee Glass Company in 1961 and produced many glass samples until 1983 in the Jeanette Pa. They closed in 1983 and the cherry blossom pattern was made in crystal, blue, green jade, yellow, and pink.
