Madame Alexander 16" Vintage Elise Doll,1958 Dress, Auburn hair. Beautiful!

The original Vintage Elise doll was made from 1957 to 1961. Her face resembles Cissy and her body is very similar, just smaller.
This lovely Madame Alexander Elise doll has beautiful auburn hair (wig) pulled back and tied with a black velvet ribbon. I presume it could be styled differently if you wished. Her ears have holes for earrings. I'm selling a set of jewelry that suits her well in another listing. Her winsome look is charming.
She is wearing a tagged, shell pink nylon flocked dress from1958 trimmed with white valencia lace. It buttons in the front with small white buttons and a snap. This is the same dress as Cissy's #2230. It is in very good vintage condition with no stains or tears or holes. She also wears taffeta and lace panties and a taffeta, tulle and lace petticoat with a flower embellishment, custom made for her. She has black high heel sandals with elastic. The beige shoes shown in some photos are not included, unless I find them before the auction ends. (!)
As noted above, Elise has a crack where her foot attaches to the bottom of her leg. Please see photos. Her feet move from flat to pointed with no problems, so assume crack is superficial. Perhaps the crack could be filled with epoxy matching the color of her plastic. Her knee joints become loose if you bend them to 90 degrees. I believe this is normal for this doll. Also, the iris of one of her eyes looks very slightly different from the other if you look close.
Despite the stated flaws, this doll is really lovely. She poses well and displays beautifully.
