Madame Alexander 1953-54 Wendy-kin Doll 7.5" Blonde Rare Blue Pattern Jumper

This auction is for a lovely Wendy-kin Doll by Madame Alexander. She belonged to my Mom, who is her original and only owner. This Wendy-kin measures 7.5" tall, has blonde hair and brown eyes, and is marked on her back with "ALEX". She is a straight-leg, non-walker from 1953 and 1954. If you are a collector who happens to own the book, The World of Alexander-kins by Patricia Smith, this type of doll and her outfit are shown on pages 10 and 20.
She is wearing a rare dark-blue striped version of the school jumper from 1953 with matching one-piece bloomers connected to an organdy blouse under the jumper. (There is a tear on the left sleeve of her organdy blouse where the seam has separated from the lace. It measures about 1/2 inch.) She also is wearing a starched lace bonnet. Her clothing is not tagged.
Unfortunately her socks, shoes, and original box are missing.
Her arms are able to hold various positions. She is jointed at the shoulders, hips, and neck. She can hold a sitting position. Her eyes open and close perfectly when laid down and stood up. Her blonde hair is still neat and curly. (In the back, one section of her curls is a little lower than the others.)
Please also note that she has two small stray marks near her right eyebrow and another small stray mark on her left arm. Overall, though, she is in beautiful condition for her age.
She is from a smoke-free, pet-free, and healthy home and has been stored over the years in a cool, dry environment.
