Madame Alexander 1959 21" Shari Lewis, new outfit

Please note that this doll is a "put-together", lovingly assembled by me.  This doll has a 1959 Shari Lewis NOS head which I purchased many years ago, and put on an older portrait body.  The eyes are dark but very nice and the lashes are perfect.  She has lightly applied rouge.  Sadly, the very tip of her nose has a tiny ding which I never noticed before, but my camera picked it right up.  Perhaps this is the reason the head was never used;  the seller I got it from said she bought it when the factory had a clearance sale back in the 80's.  The wig is newly made and I actually like it more than I like the original wig.  It does have some flyaways and needs a little styling, at which I am hopeless.  I had the wine colored cap sleeved dress custom made with a jacket to match, secured by a new pin.  She wears new white undies and a gold trimmed slip by Doll Dreams by Natalie.  The glisteney hose and gold strapped shoes are new replacements, as are her earrings.  I like the chain belts on the smaller Shari Lewis dolls so I put this vintage bracelet on her for a belt - it has little dolphins on it.  The earrings are new, as is the hat.  She is a very striking doll but bear in mind she is basically new other than the NOS head.
