Madame Alexander Rarely Seen Wendy-kin In Egg, 1966

Description

Darling bent- knee hard plastic Wendy in East German paper mache Easter egg. All original, with green basket grass, 3 fuzzy yellow chicks. She is pictured in Pat Smith's book The World of Alexander-kins, 1985. Mine has the bonnet and a short curled wig - not braids.
Wendy is clean, her turquoise romper and matching bonnet unlaundered. Her flutter sleep eyes are a steel blue. Her faux suede side snap Mary Jane shoes are in beautiful condition, with their smooth soles. Her makeup is high color.
The paper lace trim around the egg's base where Wendy lays has some missing pieces. The white trim around the outside has a few pieces that could stand to be glued down. The outside is still vivid in color, fun and whimsical, with roosters and hens  doing chores. It looks like they are camping 🙂
She is a special treat from my collection that I'm downsizing. I have lovingly displayed her in my smoke-free home away from direct sunlight. I paid 99 for her and have never been sorry.
