MADELINE WENT "SHOPPING" IN MY DOLL ROOM BOUTIQUE and chose a "PERFECTLY WONDERFUL" PEACH TAFFETA CUSTOM MADE PETTICOAT "to give my skirt more strut!" . . . it has a wonderful tulle ruffle that really makes her ORIGINAL DRESSES "SWEEPING"---THE WAY THEY WERE DESIGNED TO BE WORN! . . . Madeline wears her ORIGINAL SHINY BLACK OILCLOTH SNAP SHOES with ORIG SOCKS . . . one heel of one shoe is missing . . . and both socks have small "age" holes---both socks have been washed carefully but age spots are still present . . . MADELINE'S RARE BRUNETTE WIG has ORIG CURLY BANGS & ORIG BRAIDS w/ ORIG IVORY SATIN HAIRBOW STILL TIED IN PLACE . . . braids are tied at the ends with original string from the Madame Alexander Doll Factory 70 years ago! . . . HER ORIGINAL CURLS ARE TIGHT but do hang away from her head at the back---no wig scalp shows, but there is separation between her curly tendrils . . .  I HAVE RESTRUNG THIS DOLL COMPLETELY---replacing her original stretched rubber bands with new bands and new white elastic cord . . . yes, I even replaced her orig arm bands . . . HER HARD PLASTIC BODY IS CLEAN but does have a few "rubs" at joints . . . HER SOFT VINYL FACE has "tanned" just a bit from age . . . her lips are not as red as they were originally---more a CORAL PINK which actually goes quite nicely with her CORAL PINK~ORANGE TAFFETA DRESS . . . I MAKE NOT CLAIM THAT THIS DOLL IS MINT---SHE IS NOT---with "tan" face & "short brush eye lashes" on one eye, a tiny "cheek rub", and a few joint rubs . . . Miss Madeline has been on display in my SMOKE FREE, PET FREE DOLL ROOM OFFICE with her MADELAINE "SCHOOL GIRL" FRIENDS . . . I have been in love with Madelaine dolls since I was first given one in 1955 . . . PRECIOUS LITTLE LADIES! . . . who were designed to be UNBREAKABLE by Madame Alexander . . . It is no easy task to restring these dolls---but they respond beautifully . . . MISS MADELAINE in REDINGOTE OUTFIT is being SOLD AS IS, WITH IVORY DOLL STAND, without the other dolls shown in the photos,  and without the props shown in the photos . . . I am no doll expert but will do my best to ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE ABOUT MISS MADELINE IN ADVANCE OF PURCHASE . . . I tightly wrap dolls to avoid movement and damage during shipping---with layers of tissue paper, bubble wrap & much tape---they arrive as "mummies" for their own safety . . . I have received far too many dolls poorly wrapped who have not weathered the shipping experience well . . .
