RARE, VINTAGE MADAME ALEXANDER DRESS FOR LISSY

Description

Lissy is truly "pretty in pink" in this lovely, rare frock. The dress, made by Madame Alexander for vintage Lissy, was, as I understand it, part of a trunk set. I do know that I have never seen this dress for sale.
It is made of pink dotted Swiss. It features rows of white lace on the bodice and two rows of white lace on each of the puffed sleeves. The elastic still has some stretch and the sleeves present beautifully. There is also a row of flat, white lace near the hem of the skirt. The waist is encircled by an attached pink satin ribbon that forms a bow in the back. There are two small white buttons to close the dress.  It is tagged, "Lissy."
A few gathering stitches have come out of the skirt at the back closing and the bodice has separated from the skirt for a very sort space. There is a little bit of fraying. I have tried to show this in a photo. It needs to be regathered and stitched back to the bodice. This should be just a few stitches. Also, the buttonhole at the waist is beginning to come loose a bit and would benefit from a little reinforcement. That said, as you can see from the photos, the dress presents very well just as it is!
