    Description

    Inspired by one of Madame Alexander's 1950's creations, here's a sun dress with vintage val lace sleeves and a vintage satin sash. There are the requisite details--- organdy lined bodice, hand blind stitched two inch hem, and square snaps
    . I'm using the last of this fabulous vintage dotted organdy fabric, and there wasn't enough yardage for the usual 60 to 72 inch circumference--this dress circumference is 49 inches. Also, I've used some gorgeous rose taffeta for the slip, but I've pieced it together with an extra seam--as photos show. Tightly gathered pink tulle on the underside of the slip is new.
