Vintage 1956 Madame Alexander Cissy "Walks the Dog"!
A beautiful 1956 Cissy "Walks the Dog" made by the Madame Alexander Company.
This is a beautiful Cissy doll with blonde hair. One small split at knee. The rest of her body is perfect  no splits or cracks at hips or anywhere except the one on leg. She is tightly strung and holds a pose nicely. No missing eyes lashes and eyes are a beautiful clear blue .
Cissy is wearing her original outfit that consists of a white wool top trimmed at neckline with rolled elastic and closes on the back with 3 snaps , a black velvet swing skirt with a distinct magenta velvet waistband accented with jewels, a flocked hat with metal fleur-de-lis accent often found on crowns the netting is gone, pink and black heels in perfect condition. The elastic is in amazing shape for how old lots of stretch. Her original blue pearls, white can-can slip, white lace trimmed panties and nylons. You have choice of dog I have her original white dog or  a sweet terrier dog to walk.  The terrier came to be with doll and i see in book she came with terrier or white dog so i am giving you your choice of one.
The doll and the outfit are both in very good condition. We could not find a tag on the outfit but know it is right and original. This  top is wool. It is made of Australian wool that has cotton lining.  I had it made from a very talented seamstress.  It snaps up back has buttons on back for original look. A wonderful Cissy Doll from Madame Alexander!
