Vintage 1950s Madame Alexander Cissette Doll
For your consideration is this sweet blonde Cissette with bent knees marked MME Alexander.
She is redressed in a sheer checked nylon dress from 1959 known as style #723 with it's floral accents at the waist of blue forget me nots and rose to match the pale pink cloche hat that came with the dress with matching floral arrangement.  This outfit comes with its original pink taffeta lace trimmed half slip and matching panties.
The doll has replacement silver sandals and a replacement set of pink back seam hosiery. To take it a step further she got herself a new "Cissette" wrist tag from Rsty's Wrkshp and asked me to let her wear something on her finger that would look like the rhinestone some other Cissettes get to wear because this Cissette really wanted to dress up.
Cissette is hoping that you can enjoy her as she is all dressed up despite the fact that she is not in mint condition and has flaws due to play, age, and time.  Her curls have been tamed with a thread gently woven into them to hold them still.  She had her legs, arms and head restrung with new elastic cording and holds her head up very well.  Her arms stay up some of the time, but as for her legs, well, she asks that you still give her a doll stand as she can't stand up on her on, unfortunately.  Her face has no touch ups in the coloring so the colors you see are original.  She may need a little touch up on one eyelid (see images).  She no longer has fingernail paint and would love to have them redone if you like to do that sort of thing.  She asks that you study the photos carefully to see the condition of her plastic such as the crack in her left shoulder or small dent in her right hip and other marks.
Her sheer nylon dress was once a pale pink, but like vintage nylon dresses the pink has faded and a grayness has set in.  Cissette thinks it gives her an endearing vintage reminder of her age.  The dress has some opening in the seams in usually places:  1) in the back at the area where it opens near the snaps and 2) under the right arm.  One "hole" or "gap" is a factory mistake in the back at the waistband where the factory stitching of the lace around her waist skipped a space which you can see in one of the photos.  Her floral arrangement at the waist was detached and the original staples are gone so it was reattached with some thread - almost in the same place as it was before, maybe not so perfectly.  Her hat has no chin strap but Cissette prefers it that way and doesn't know if there ever was a strap anyway. The half slip is not tight around the waist but stays up okay - you can see the lace trimming coming down below the dress in the photos.  There is a light browning on the waist band of the slip.
She has some replacement earrings that dangle and can easily be removed and replaced.  She didn't want them to be glued in.  She found a pair of silver sandals to wear that she likes that fit her well.
Cissette has been enjoying a spot on my doll shelf and brightening up the room in her nylon fashion and forget-me-nots.  She is not easily parted with.
She has no odors and comes from my smoke free, pet free home.
