This BEAUTIFUL doll is a rare 1953-1955 WINNIE WALKER by Madame Alexander (All HP w Glued on Wig) Nice all around color. Adorable & Original Tagged Plaid School with Pale Pink Taffeta Panty & slip, Socks & oil cloth Mary Jane style shoes with fuzzy bottoms and 2 Gold Barrettes. Dress Marked " 25" Madame Alexander Fashions New York USA". FLAWS - She has a few marks on her back (extremely light/slight) from the snaps on the panty,
She has a few marks on her legs (extremely light/slight) from age (all of which could be removed w rubber eraser), Fuzz on bottom of shoes wearing off from age, slight belt wear on edge from age, hair out of place in few spots from being caught on something and a 1" scratch on back of neck under hair (unknown to me until now). THIS DOLL DOES NOT APPEAR PLAYED WITH EVER and after the movie has been shelter in my personal collection behind glass doors. I still don't want to sell her but tuition calls!
In 2014, O'Smiley's sold "ALL" our 1950s dolls to "Salt Productions", the producers of the 2015 movie "CAROL" starring Cate Blanchett. We were invited to the set after filming to re-purchase all of our dolls back. This lovely doll was used as a centerpiece in one the the Christmas Windows.
