  • Condition: This is guard is heavy. The frame around the mesh is likely iron and weighs a lot. Seller's estimate is the guard weigh 20-25lbs. Size is 30" high and the front panel is completely square being 30" wide. The two side panels are 12" wide, so giving it a maximum length of 54" completely extended. The side panels can open completely and close completely. It the guard can stand on its own when the side panels are folded. The hinges on the side panels are all the way down held in place by 10 screws each side but one screw is missing. When folded at the right angles one panel sits more solid than the other, overall the guard stands well. There is wear, on the mesh there is rust looking marks and some marks on the frame. There are dirt marks or old ash marks on the frame at the bottom. No feet it just sits on the frame. On the panels the two top handles, which are held in place by screws, they are useful to carry and move. No tears or holes in mesh. See photographs for condition.

    Vintage Folding Fireplace Guard Mesh with a solid frame, likely iron. The mesh is also made of a metal. There are no brand/manufacturer marks. The metal has wear and marks throughout. The mesh has some rust marks and there are no holes.
    Dimensions: height 30" not including handles, fully extended the length is 54" inches. Approximate weight 20-25lbs, seller only has a scale up to 10lbs, so this is an estimate, it is heavy.
