    Description

    This is a well-preserved Depression glass milk pitcher that was manufactured by the Hazel Atlas Glass Company, a company formed in 1902 in Washington, Pennsylvania.  Depression glass pieces, such as this one, were prevalent during the 1930’s as an economical alternative to fine china.  This cobalt blue milk pitcher is from the company’s “Shirley Temple Ritz Blue Honeycomb” line and measures approximately 4 ½” in height by 4 ½” in length, including handle.  It features an angular handle and a honeycomb pattern on one side and smooth glass on the side that displays the decal of Shirley Temple.  Despite some minor scuffs/surface scratches and a manufacturing flaw (blemish on the decal), this is a nice Depression-era pitcher that features America’s little darling, Shirley Temple.
