This listing is for one Vintage Large Jeanette Iris & Herringbone Marigold Carnival Glass Fruit Bowl:
*Circa 1940s-1950s
*Approximate diameter 12”
*Ruffled Edge
*Condition: Good Vintage condition with no chips or cracks
*Iris or "Iris and Herringbone" was produced by the Jeannette Glass Company of Jeannette, Pennsylvania
*The Jeannette Glass Company opened in 1898 and closed in 1983
*All bases in the original production lines had a "rayed" base pattern
*Following WW2, Jeannette reissued most of their Iris depression glass line with the popular "iridescent" finish. This was created by adding a special glaze to the glass and refiring each piece. The result was the marigold shade seen on all but a few items.
