    Description

This auction is for a lovely Madame Alexander Jo doll from Little Women.  She has a green dress with white trim, black shoes, white stockings, and white cotton pantaloons and slip on.
14" tall.  Madame Alexander red tag on back of dress.
Condition: Her face is lovely, with blushed cheeks, big brown eyes and dark rosy pink lips. She has no eyebrows.  The hair needs some TLC. You can hold hair up in back and see scalp. Needs some pinning in also. Red fingernails, not original I assume.  One small indentation on one of her fingers. Her head and arms feel loose, could need restringing. Spot of discoloration back of neck.   Her green dress shows some age related fading as if the upper part has faded a bit more than bottom, and there are couple of small shiny spots where too hot an iron was used. Also, her waistine needs a stitch or two where pleat has come unstitched. Two black spots on INSIDE of skirt.  Her pantaloons and slip look good with just one tiny spot on slip.  One of her ribbon bows on her shoes has been replaced and is coming unglued.   See all in the pictures, and be sure to use enlarging feature.  Despite all I just listed, she's still pretty and could be enjoyed by someone.
This lovely doll is part of a collection from an elderly woman who passed.  I know a little about dolls, but no where near what an avid collector would know.  I will try to point out what things I see that may be important to you. If you have any questions, just ask me.
Please check out my other listing for a different Madame Alexander doll from same collector.
