Vintage Madame Alexander 14" Marme Doll Little Women

Description

This auction is for a lovely Madame Alexander Marmee doll from Little Women.  She has on a pink acetate dress with black velvet trim with cream tasseling, black shoes, and cotton pantaloons and over slip on.
14" tall.  Madame Alexander red tag on back of dress.
Condition: Her face is lovely, with blushed cheeks, big blue eyes, full lashes and dark pinkish red lips. Her sleep eyes are a bit sticky, they open fully one time and partially the next.  The hair is lush but needs styling. In addition, the wig is coming unglued above her left ear. The metal spanner bar (clip) was taped to her dress when I got her, and I placed it in her hair, but probably in improper position.  If you do dolls, fixing her hair would not be a monumental task. Her skin is very clean on her face.  I see one light area of dirt to her one side of neck near neckline of dress. Her pink dress has no holes, but shows a bit of fading as acetates do sometime.   No holes and only one or two minor tiny stains (tip of a pen size)  Her pantaloons and slip need laundering to brighten them up, and the snap at the back of her petticoat has come detached from one side.
This lovely doll is part of a collection from an elderly woman who passed.  I know a little about dolls, but no where near what an avid collector would know.  I will try to point out what things I see that may be important to you. If you have any questions, just ask me.
