Vintage Madame Alexander 17" Doll ~ Cream Dress Red Buttons Tagged

Description

This auction is for a Madame Alexander 17" stiff leg doll.  She has a cream colored acetate dress with red buttons down front,  puff sleeves and a peter pan collar.  Her cotton panties and slip are joined at the waistline.    The ties on the shoes go thru two eyelets on either side of the shoe to hold them on.  I don't think the gold lame ties or belt are original.  Her cheeks are lightly blushed, she has blue eyes with real eyelashes. She has brown hair and her fingers are spread.  I did not notice when I began shooting pictures, but she has a thin gold lame tie around her neck and it has a tiny Lamode 12K Gold filled heart locket on it.  I left it with her as she may be fond of it, even though I doubt it was original to her. see picture #6.
17" tall.  Madame Alexander clothes tag on shirt that says 18".
Condition:   Overall appearance is nice.  She does have some discoloration to her skin at her leg joints, where her head sits on neck (I have her head pulled back to show), and on her eyelids when her eyes are closed.   Her clothing is clean, I could find no stains.
This lovely doll is part of a collection from an elderly woman who passed.  I know a little about dolls, but no where near what an avid collector would know.  I will try to point out what things I see that may be important to you. If you have any questions, just ask me.
