Vintage Madame Alexander 17" Doll ~ Red Circle Skirt & Beret, Shirtwaist Tagged

Description

This auction is for a Madame Alexander 16" stiff leg doll.  She has a red circle skirt, blue and white shirtwaist blouse, a red beret, black shoes with fuzzy soles, nylon stockings, a silky slip and cotton panties with lace trim. The fabric of the panties seems newer than the rest of the doll.  The shirt and the slip are one piece? Stitched together at the hem of blouse and waist of slip.  The ties on the shoes go thru two eyelets on either side of the shoe to hold them on.  I don't think the gold lame is original....  Her cheeks are lightly blushed, and her eyelashes are real. She has brown hair and her fingers are spread.

Condition:   Her skin looks clean, her hair is a little mussed up. Her eyes are sticky, they stick close sometimes and occasionally even stick in the open position.  Her clothing is clean, I could find no stains.
This lovely doll is part of a collection from an elderly woman who passed.  I know a little about dolls, but no where near what an avid collector would know.  I will try to point out what things I see that may be important to you. If you have any questions, just ask me.
