Vintage Madame Alexander 1959 ELISE in RARE Turquoise Sateen Set #1816 Complete!

Up for auction is a truly rare and simply stunning Madame Alexander Elise from 1959. Elise is wearing the outfit named "Turquoise Sateen Set #1816" in Shaw's book "The Elise Files" on p. 72. This set was only sold on the doll and it is complete and in excellent condition. The outfit consists of a pale pink sheer nylon blouse which has puffed sleeves and is trimmed with Val lace and a turquoise gem at the neck, the fabulous printed turquoise sateen skirt with an attached waistband of a wide gathered hot pink satin ribbon, and a fantastic turquoise hat accented with a beautiful corsage of flowers. Under the skirt is a unique original slip that is accented with a ruffle of bright pink tulle, and her light pink satin panties. There are no holes, stains, or damage. The colors are all bright and beautiful. The pictures might look like there is a bit of fading in the skirt but that is just the lighting, it is all very vibrant with no fade at all. The blouse is a beautiful pink color and the attached turquoise gem is so pretty. The puffed sleeve elastic had pulled away so I had a professional seamstress replace it and it looks fantastic! The hose have a few holes small holes and the elastic on the shoes only stretch a little, but they stay on the doll fine. The doll is just beautiful with original facial coloring, bright blue eyes with all her eyelashes, and a gorgeous dark brown wig.  She has on earrings that match the gem on the blouse. There is a hairline on the outside of the right leg at the knee, and a small 1/4" split on the inside of that leg, but it is all stable and the knees bend and pose if you wish. Other than that there are no other cracks, stains, or splits. She is just one gorgeous Elise in such a rare outfit. Both Cissy and Cissette have similar outfits made with this same turquoise print and wouldn't it be fantastic to collect them all and display them together!!
